Tonight was our first team training and it was swimming, our weakest area. Needless to say we were a tad bit on the nervous side but once we got in the water (which must have been a balmy 60 degrees) things went pretty well. We learned some drills, how it's better to inhale when your head is OUT of the water, and that the water in your water bottle tastes better than the pool water. Right now, the body is better built for cannon balls than long distance swimming, but I think we saw some promising signs tonight. Now we'll see how the run goes on Saturday....
By the way, there's nothing quite like a cold pool, sub-zero temps outside, and a bunch of pasty Minnesotans to make you long for summer! HA! But for a group of beginner swimmers we all did pretty well!
These last couple weeks we've been going non-stop. Thursday is an off-day and we're looking forward to it!

You both did a great job last night. See you didn't drown. It's all going to be ok. Just remember to point your toes Patrick. ;)
