Memorial Day

Thank you to all who have fought and sacrificed and continue to fight in service to this great country. Let us never forget.

“And I’m proud to be an American,
Where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died,
Who gave that right to me.” – Lee Greenwood

‘The patriot’s blood is the seed of Freedom’s tree.” – Thomas Campbell

“Cover them over with beautiful flowers,
Deck them with garlands, those brothers of ours,
Lying so silent by night and by day
Sleeping the years of their manhood away.
Give them the meed they have won in the past;
Give them the honors their future forcast;
Give them the chaplets they won in the strife;
Give them the laurels they lost with their life.”
~Will Carleton

“We come, not to mourn our dead soldiers, but to praise them.” – Francis A. Walker

“Freedom is never free.” – Unknown

Lyric of the Day: “Find the cost of freedom buried in the ground. Mother Earth will swallow you, lay your body down.” – “Find the Cost of Freedom”, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young
